Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales & Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist for a short-term contract opportunity with a growing technology organization. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely tax filings across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-state environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file sales tax returns across multiple states and entities
• Review and clean up historical sales tax records, identifying discrepancies and ensuring compliance
• Manage and file payroll taxes across numerous states
• Ensure all filings are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable regulations
• Collaborate with accounting leadership on tax-related issues and process improvements

Qualifications

• Proven experience with sales tax and payroll tax filing (multi-state required)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex, multi-entity tax environments
• Self-starter with a high level of integrity and accountability
• Tenacious, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus (not required)
